I have merged all contents of Alexandropolis and Alexandroupoli articles, which are clearly about the same one city and both of which were tagged with {{merge}} (with each other) for a long time, into this article. This version of the name is the most common according to an English language-only search in Google. Here is how many hits the versions get:

  • Alexandroupolis 131,000
  • Alexandropolis 53,200
  • Alexandroupoli 48,300
  • Alexandropoli 3,570

Having said that, I wouldn't oppose a move if any local or native English speaker thinks this isn't exactly the most "correct"/common name in English.—Vidimian 15:53, 15 February 2010 (EST)
