Talk:Interior (British Columbia)
From Wikitravel
I changed:
Okanagan: East and West
to:
Kootenays: East and West
As I am sure that is what the contributor meant to write. I live in the area and there is no East and West Okanagan but there is an East and West Kootenays.

Upon further reflection, I think this page should be removed altogether, and the information moved to British Columbia. The reasoning: I don't think too many people, and especially not tourists, search for or use this term. Also, the 'interior' encompasses several distinct regions that already have their own pages. In my opinion the logical split of regions from a tourist's perspective would be:
- Vancouver Island/Gulf Islands
- Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley/Sunshine coast
- East/West Kootenays
- Rocky Mountains
- Caribou/Chilcotin
- Peace River/Alaska Highway
- Thompson/Shuswap
- Okanagan/Similkameen
- North Coast/Queen Charlottes
Each of these regions could be broken down logically into smaller regions down the road (and some are already) if the pages become too unwieldy whereas 'interior' doesn't match with any other region in the BC geographical hierarchy except for Southwestern British Columbia, which is another page with the same problems ie: a huge geographical area with many distinct regions, and a name that neither tourists nor locals use.
