Did you know! This small beach town has the same claim to fame as the megalopolis Mumbai in India. The sultry Hollywood screen siren of the 30s, Merle Oberon was born in both Mumbai as well as St. Helens! Well, at least she claimed she was born in St Helens but all available evidence points to her being born of a mixed race family in Mumbai, India. |
