St. Gervais [1] is a city in the French Alps near Chamonix that has become famous both for skiing and for its natural hot springs and accompanying Spas [2].

St. Gervais is one of the most easily accessible resort towns of the Haute-Savoie being near a major train station at Cluses and the end of the A40 auto route.

The French AutoRoute Blanche (A40) ends a few kilometers from St. Gervais where it begins the climb up to the foot of Mt. Blanc and the tunnel that leads to Italy.
