By Rail[edit]

Southeast Iowa is served by two long-distance Amtrak trains. The California Zephyr makes stops in Burlington and Mount Pleasant on runs between Chicago and Emeryville (San Francisco) while the Southwest Chief makes a single stop in Fort Madison on runs between Chicago and Los Angeles

By Air[edit]

Southeast Iowa is served by a single airport with commercial service, the Southeast Iowa Regional Airport located in Burlington. Air Choice One [1], an Essential Air Service (EAS) contracted carrier, provides multiple flights per day to both Chicago-O'Hare and St. Louis.
