Skardu is a town in the region of the same name in the Northern Areas of Pakistan.

Skardu can be reached by Jet Aeroplane operated by Pakistan International Airlines on daily basis from Pakistan Capital city of Islamabad. Skardu has a full fledge airport.

By Road it can be reach using Daily Bus service offered by Nothern Area Transport Company from Islamabad and Peshawar. Becarefull its very hilly drive all along the way for 10 hours journey.

Another big city of Gilgit is four to five hours drive away from Skardu. You can go to Pakistan - China border via Gilgit. You may visit most famous Khunjrab Pass, K-2 Mountain base camp etc.
