Silver Star

Silver Star [1] is a Canadian mountain resort located in British Columbia's Okanagan region. It is located 22km northeast of the town of Vernon. One of the larger ski resorts in British Columbia, the mountain has 3,065 skiable acres and a vertical of 760m and enjoys the dry, "champagne powder" snow of the Okanagan. Mountain biking facilities are open on the mountain in the summer.

By car[edit]

Silver Star is approximately a 6-hour drive from Vancouver.

By air[edit]

The nearest large airport is Kelowna International Airport (YLW), which is served by Air Canada, Horizon Air, and WestJet. The Vernon Airporter provides shuttle service from the airport to Silver Star.

By bus[edit]

  • Silver Star shares the same owner as the nearby Big White resort, and an inter-mountain shuttle operates between the two mountains. $42 per person.

Skiing and snowboarding are the obvious winter attractions. A one-day adult lift pass costs $71.
