Shivpuri

Shivpuri is a city and headquarters of the Shivpuri District in the Gwalior region in the northwest of the state of Madhya Pradesh, in the Plains of central India.

It should not be confused with the Shivpuri that is the hub for many adventure sports like river rafting, camping and trekking that is only 10 km away from Rishikesh in northern India.

Shivpuri is a very exciting place, it was the summer capital of Scindia dynasty. It is famous for its National park, wildlife century, Fort, Chattris and natural springs. Major attractions are: Madhav National Park - Tiger, Leopards, Deer, Elephant, Corcodiles, etc Son Chiraiya Bird Century - Famous for Golden Bird Scindhia Chhatris - Similar to Tajmahal Bhura Kho - Natural spring which is a picnic spot Bhadaiya kund - Man-made spring and a picnic spot Narwar Fort - 9th century fort famous for the love story of king Nal and queen damyanti
