The 947 bus runs from Zhongshan Park metro station through the important points in the district. The 837 bus runs from the train station. The 143 bus runs from Caoyang Rd. metro station. The 827 bus runs from Beixinjing metro station. The 876 bus runs from Songhong Rd. metro station and Caoyang Rd. metro station. Caoyang Rd. metro station is located in the district, but the main attractions in the area require a bus ride. A line further extending into this district is due to be complete at the end of 2009.

• Changfeng Park, (Accessible by 947 bus (the stop is announced in English)). It is a park like most others except it also has a mini-amusement park and aquarium within. Worth a visit if you live nearby, as it is less crowded than Zhongshan Park or Century Park.  edit

• The intersection of Meichuan Road and Zhenguang Road, (It has its own stop on bus routes 947, 827, and 807.). Home to a massive shopping mall. It is home to multiple restaurants and shops for clothing (including a shop that specializes in maternity clothing) as well as an Apple Store. This is also home to the only bowling alley within a 2km radius, and the only Baskin-Robbins and Uniqlo in the district.  edit

• Macalline, intersection of Meichuan Road and Zhenbei Road (It has its own stop on bus route 827; other bus routes stop some 300m away.). Home to a massive furniture and bathroom fixture mall that is a decent alternative to Ikea. It is amazingly well-stocked, and can even be considered an attraction in itself for the truly bored.  edit

• The Shanghai Light Textile Market, Cao'an Road (It has its own stop on bus route 947 and is the end of route 948). Not to be missed. Despite its name, it also sells various knick-knacks, photo frames, paintings, shoes, and all kinds of dresses, among other things.  edit

• Ramen Land, Meichuan Road (Near the intersection with Zhen Guang Road). Open until midnight. One of the few good non-chain ramen places in the area. unlikely to cost more than ¥20.  edit

• Yi Pin Quan, (Across the street from 1333 Meichuan Road). Open until late night. A rather upscale restaurant particularly known for its pan-fried meat buns. Count on more than ¥50 per head for dinner.  edit

• Le Tour Shanghai Youth Hostel (上海乐途白兰国际青年旅舍), 136 Bailan Rd,Puduo District (普陀区白兰路136号,凯旋北路口) (Between Caoyang Road and JinShaJiang Road Metro Stations (lines 3 and 4)), ☎ +86 21 5251 0808, [1]. While it is not in the most beautiful section of Shanghai, the place is clean, the people are friendly, the Metro is close, and there is a supermarket right across the corner from the hostel. • Jin Sha Hotel Jin Jiang, [3]. 3-star accommodation that houses restaurants, banquet halls, multipurpose meeting rooms, recreational facilities, and a shopping arcade. Its Putuo District location has easy access to Shanghai Railway Station, Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway, and Inner Ring Road for quick city explorations.
