Saint-Florent

Saint-Florent (Corsican: San Fiurenzu) is a small town on the French island of Corsica. There is a large free car park on the road towards the cathedral. There's paid parking for 1.20 euro per hour next to the marina. A taxi from the port in L'ille-Rousse to Saint-Florent is easy 50 euro. Get around It's a small place, so everywhere is accessible by foot. Do Sailing / kayaking from Plage de la Roya Domaine Cordoliani, Sant' Angelo, 2032 Poggio d'Oletta, Corse. Visit the nice Domaine Cordoliani on the old road to Poggio d'Oletta. Rent a bike in the city center and take the old road towards the church. Continue 10 minutes from there and you find the amazing wine fields of Saint-Florent. Most of them have a small shop for tasting and sale of their own wine. Specially recommended is Domaine Cordoliani. The staff speaks english well and they deliver wine you buy at your hotel.  edit Buy Fish from the poissonerie. Eat There are many restaurants in St Florent, many specialising in seafood. Most of them offer a dish of the day for a reduced price (13-19 euros) at lunch or dinner. Note that the supermarkets close just after noon and reopen in the late afternoon until 7 in the evening.
