Rosyth
Rosyth is a port town in Fife, Scotland. It was built in the early 20th century to house the workers at the nearby Rosyth Naval Dockyard. The town is the terminus of Scotland's only direct ferry link to continental Europe. [edit] Get in[edit] By Sea
[edit] By RoadRosyth is located just 12 miles north of Edinburgh, close to the M90 motorway (J2), on the north side of the Forth Road Bridge. If travelling from Dunfermline take the A823 out of town, Rosyth is only 3 miles to the south. [edit] By RailRosyth station is served by twice-hourly trains on the Fife Circle line out of Edinburgh. The journey takes around 25 minutes. Be aware that the train station is just over a mile from the ferry terminal. Ferry passengers are better advised to use Inverkeithing station (the stop before Rosyth if travelling from Edinburgh, four trains an hour) from where Fife Council operates a free shuttle bus [2] to the ferry terminal. Stagecoach [3] operates numerous services linking Ferrytoll with the rest of Fife and across the Forth Road Bridge to Edinburgh.

The ancient capital city, Dunfermline is only 3 miles to the north, while the current capital, Edinburgh is just 12 miles to the south. Fife Council runs a free shuttle bus from the ferry terminal serving the Ferrytoll Park and Ride bus interchange and Inverkeithing Rail Station, both of which offer ample onward connections.
