Richmond is in South County Rhode Island. It includes the village of Wyoming.

Interstate 95 passes through town. Get off 95 at exit 2A or exit 2B to enter Hope Valley, the business center of Richmond. Exit 2A and 2B will both leave you on Route 138.

Richmond is a small town not easily traveled without motor vehicle. The small town of Richmond contains several villages, including: Arcadia, Alton, Carolina, Hope Valley, Kenyon, Shannock, Usquepaug, Woodville, Wyoming.
The two central roads that lead through Richmond are 138 and 112. Following 138 with either lead you west into Hopkinton or east to route 1 and Narragansett. Following 112 will lead you soth in Charlestown.

Upon entering Richmond one might become underwhelmed with the sights. Richmond is primarily forests and fields with the occasional waterfall or fish pond. If enjoying the simple pleasures of southern Rhode Island appeals to you,then look no further than the Richmond wilderness.
Ponds and springsn are plenty, many of which one could fish in and kayak like the Wood River.
The Charlestown Fish Pond, a hidden treasure, its buried in the woods but still attracts up to 100 visitors at the start of the season.
Crawly Preserve is located in Richmond, it is a nature retreat.

There are lots of fun things to do in Richmond, Rhode Island:
There are two public library's. Clark Memorial Library and Langworthy Public Library.
If you like to golf there are many courses to check out:Beaver River Golf Club,Richmond Country Club,Fenner Hill Golf Club,Pinehurt Golf Club,Foxwoods Golf & Country Club,and Woodriver Golf Club.
During the month of August Richmonds holds the annual and much anticipated Washington County Fair. For a week many gather to listen to music, watch racing lawnmowers, and to play carnival games. The Washington County Fair is Richmond's biggest event followed by the less anticipated but still cool, Farmers Market in front of the town house.
There are also plenty of good Fishing Spots. Supplies can be bought at Drifter.
If you want to work out there is a YMCA in Hope Valley, it does not have a pool however.

Richmond's shopping district is Hope Valley. Hope Valley used to be a great place to shop but now is overrun with mega pharmacies. In the small village of Hope Valley there is a Brooks Pharmacy, a new CVS that demolished the Richmond Shopping Plaza for construction WHEN THERE ALREADY WAS A CVS IN THAT PLAZA!, and a Super Walgreens in the making. What used to be a somewhat small and classy village has been ruined thanks to corporate greed.
They destroyed Bali Village and they destroyed Town Pizza,can anything be left sacred?
There is also Job Lot, and it rocks!

There is a Super Stop and Shop in Hope Valley along with a McDonald's and Wendy's.
Sals Pizza is located on 138 and is a good local pizzeria. Next to that is a Dunkin Doughnuts.
