Rødby

Rødby is a city on Lolland, and is mainly known for the ferries to Puttgarden in Germany, one of the heaviest trafficed ferry routes in Europe, with large ferries departurting every 30 minutes nearly round the clock.

Trains do the 2-2,5 hour trip between Rødby and Copenhagen approximately every 2 hours most of the day, many of them are EuroCity trains also connecting to Hamburg in Germany. If you land in the middle of hiatus, you can take bus 23 to Maribo and change to a train there, though that adds nearly an hours transportation time.
By car Rødby is smack on the highway leading to Copenhagen (161km, E47), on the other side of the ferry crossing the highway continues to Hamburg (155km, E47/Route 1).
