It is also the center of the US Army's relocation from Yongsan Garrison in Seoul to USAG Humphreys in Pyeongtaek.
The Express Bus Terminal, Bus Terminal, and Pyeongtaek Train Station are all in the same area. One can even catch a rapid subway from Pyeongtaek to Yongsan Train Station. KTX (bullet train) tracks are being built. Expected completion around 2016.
Indian: Moti Mahal
Italian: Del Vino
Pork Rib: Hole in the wall right before Monkey Papas
If you're looking for craft beers head to Alley 64 which can be found by taking a quick right after Moti Mahal and then an immediate left by Ambercombie and Fitch.
The best place for cocktails is Monkey Papas which can be a little tricky to find the first time. Head into the alley across from Del Vino's and take a left when you hit the arcade games (pun intended). You should see a purple sign on the right hand side of the street. Another good indicator is to follow the foreigners-the large selection of inexpensive cocktails on an English menu, upbeat jams, and steady supply of gummy bears, popcorn, and other delicious snacks make this a popular spot for the foreigners to hang out after work.
Because the bus terminal/express bus terminal to Seoul/train station/subway are all within a three minute walk transportation into and out of the city is very easy. Trains run more frequently to Yongsan Station (4,500 WON) vs Seoul Station, but you can also catch the express subway if you're heading to the Hongdae area and it's about the same time. Express Bus Terminal to Seoul can be found behind Caffe Pascucci near Exit 1 of the train station station (to the left of the buildings infront of the train station but on the same plaza) Bus Terminal (which also goes to Seoul-Nambu terminal) can be found a block from Exit 1 of the train station turning right towards the Lotte apartment buildings
You can also take a bus from the Bus Terminal (not express terminal) to Gimpo and Incheon airports, but it will be 2-3 hours as you stop by Songtan and Anseong first.
