Puttaparthi is the place in Andhra Pradesh, India where the guru Sathya Sai Baba lives. He is considered as "God Incarnate" by many of his followers. However be warned Sai Baba has had many allegations of sexaul abuse and deciet http://www.saibabaexpose.com/saibabaexposed.htm. It is a beautiful valley between the hills. It is a perfect description of a global village, where you get to see the Indian countryside along with the modern facilities.

Puttaparthi is easily accessible today by train, road and airport. It boasts of a tiny but beautiful railway station opened recently. Unfortunately the airport it has isn't operational for most part of the year. Bangalore is only 3 hours away from this beautiful place.

The Sathya Sai Ashram is a beautiful place filled with temples and beautiful places of worship. There are a lot of places to see like the Super Speciality hospital, Schools and colleges, International Stadium, Museum...
