purulia is famous for its world famous local dish called BHABRA BHAJA. mohan's a sweet eatout provides bengali variety sweets and many other kinds of it.......... roadside stalls are the best provider of rolls of differnt flavour like egg, chicken,eggchicken, and also some of the veg items.

There are alot of places to go out of Purulia town. Ayodhya Pahar (hill), Duarsini, Panchet Dam, Jaichandi Pahar etc are few of them. All of these places are approachable by hired car, trecker. There are few buses which runs to Ayodhya Pahar, but you need to get full information beforehand. There is a guest house on the top of the hill where you can enjoy the night of a jungle life !!
