Punkaharju is located in Eastern Finland on Lake Saimaa.

By Car[edit]

Highway nr 14 goes via Punkaharju village. To the south the road goes towards Parikkala village and to the west towards Savonlinna town and Juva.

During the summer season it's possible to come to Punkaharju by S/S Heinävesi ship from Savonlinna [4]

  • Drive along the famous Punkaharju ridge scenic road[7]. On the south end of the road you can find the restored WW2 Salpa-line fortifications and on the north end of the road is the beautiful Valtionhotelli.
