Currently the only way in is via road. The LRT (Light Rapid Transit) extension plan is yet to be executed, but once the system in extended, then Puchong will be accessible by LRT from Kuala Lumpur.
From Kuala Lumpur the easiest and toll-free way will be via Jalan Klang Lama or through Bukit Jalil which will lead to Bandar Kinrara (a township in Puchong). If coming from Putrajaya, then you will have to use the LDP (Lebuh Raya Damansara Puchong) and pay RM1.60 for toll. Puchong is also accessible from Shah Alam by KESAS highway and Subang Jaya by LDP via Bandar Sunway. Both ways requires payment.
Puchong is easily accessible by car. You will need to have a valid driving license to drive and you will drive on left side of the road. The backbone of the Puchong is LDP, if you are going around within Puchong you will definitely need to use LDP. For within Puchong, no need to pay toll and there are many entry and exits along the highway to get in and out of the housing/commercial areas.
As other parts of Klang Valley, there are metered taxis but sometimes you will have to negotiate the price before starting the journey.
Puchong is served by Rapid KL and Metro bus. You might find some mini buses as well. Its advice able to use Rapid KL. Metro bus drivers are rude and their bus are very poorly maintained.
Currently the extension of LRT (Ampang Line) is carried out. Once it is completed getting around Puchong will be a breeze
