Pskov is the largest city and administrative capital of Pskov Oblast.

Pskov Airport (Аэропорт Псков) have flights from Moscow on weekdays, there have also been regular flights from Tallinn but as of now (May 2011) they are all canceled.
Trains depart once a day from Luga (3 h) and Novgorod (7 h), from Saint Petersburg (4½-7 h) there are three daily departures including one night train. A daily night train leaves Moscow each evening at 6:30PM from the Leningradsky station taking 13 hours. Other long-distance trains from Minsk, Murmansk, Riga and Vilnius makes stop-overs here, however they usually arrive in the middle of the night.
A bus from St.Petersburg takes 5.5 hours and costs 420 rubles.
When driving, Pskov is along the M20 highway, linking Saint Petersburg with the border to Belarus.
