Pinta an island in the Galapagos Islands. The most famous resident of the station was Lonesome George, a tortoise found on the island and is believed to be the last of his sub-species. Lonesome George is now found at the Darwin Research Centre on Santa Cruz. Tourists are not allowed to visit Pinta - it is only open to scientists.
