Pinehurst is best known for its golf, this is where the US Open is held every year. One of the golf courses that is a definite need to see is the famous Golf Course Number 2. Stretching 7,020 yards at Par 72, this championship golf course is very green and relatively flat, with tall pines on every hole Also located in Pinehurst is the Golf course rated by Golf Digest as one of the top 50 public courses in America. Other than golf in Pinehurst you can gamble your money a little bit with Horse Racing at Pinehurst Harness Track. There is also Tufts Archives, which is a specialty museum, and Sandhills Horticultural Gardens.
