Pawleys Island [1] is a city in the Grand Strand region of South Carolina

If you are traveling by air, you will want to fly into the Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR). Heading South on Highway 17 the trip is about 45 minutes when the traffic flow is not heavy. In the Summer of 2007, Highway 31 will open up a South bound expressway that will create greater access and easier traffic flow.

Must sees in Pawleys Island are Brookgreen Gardens located between Pawleys Island and Murrells Inlet and Huntington Beach State Park. The All Saints Church cemetery is also worth seeing. It features the graves of the poet James Dickey and the mysterious "Alice."
