By bus[edit]

Take a Transjogja bus to the final stop at Terminal Giwangan (South-East of Yogyakarta), then take another bus to Parangtritis. To find the correct bus, look for the words "Bantul Parangtritis" over the archways dividing the bus lanes. Transjogja costs Rp 3,500, while Giwangan-Parangtritis should cost Rp 20,000 but drivers may ask for more from foreigners. The bus will likely not be air-conditioned. The drive from Giwangan to Parangtritis terminal will take around an hour. The bus will terminate in a parking lot across from a place marked "Penginapan ASRI" on Google Maps.
