Palos Verdes Estates
From Wikitravel
The City of Palos Verdes Estates [1] is one of four cities in the Palos Verdes Peninsula, an oceanside community in the South Bay area of Long Beach County, California. Palos Verdes Estates has, for years, maintained a very restrictive architectural review and building code that has resulted in the ambiance of a Mediterranean town, with clay tile roofed villas enjoying spectacular ocean and city views. The city streets are sometimes blocked by flocks of beautiful wild peacocks that inhabit the hillsides.
[edit] Get in
From Pacific Coast Highway, take Palos Verdes Boulevard south into Palos Verdes Estates, which occupies the western side of the peninsula.
[edit] Get around
There is very little public transportation in Palos Verdes Estates. The Palos Verdes Peninsula Transit Authority operates PVP Transit with one route that connects PVE with the Peninsula Center.
