  • Mexcal Paloma Mesajeras (Messenger doves), Calle Morelos N° 9, Oponguio, Tel: (01)443 393-29-38, [1]. Tour the traditional Mezcal Distillery. The Maguey is collect by jimadors using their razor sharp blades then the heart is transported on horse back to the distilery where it is roasted in a pit to convert the starches into sugars. All product is distilled using a traditional still. They have several types of Mezcal to taste or buy.
