Oodnadatta is a small town in South Australia. [edit] Get inOodnadatta is situated around 200km from the Stuart Highway along the Oodnadatta Track. The track is unsealed, but the road to Oodnadatta is usually traversable by 2WD vehicle. [edit] Get aroundThe town itself is small enough to walk around. Parking is no problem either. [edit][add listing] SeeThe Ghan railway line used to pass through and stop in Oodnadatta. The railway line now bypasses the town but the old station is largely preserved and is a museum. The old rail line runs (for the most part) way out to the desert it is advised not to stray too far. The Oodnadatta Track, Australia is an unsealed 620 kilometre track between Marree and Marla via Oodnadatta in South Australia. It passes the southern lake of the Lake Eyre National Park. The Pink Roadhouse is a feature of the town, and offers accommodation, fuel, food, spare parts, and general advice. [edit] Get outDown the track a couple of hundred kilometres to William Creek and Lake Eyre, or up the track to the Stuart Highway at Marla and on to Alice Springs.
