Lake Memphremagog - Newport is on the shoreline of the large lake and has a wooden boardwalk that can be walked or biked that leads over the water. It is also rumored that the lake holds a lake monster, Memphre.

There are a few bars on Main Street which are also just a short walk away from the waterfront boardwalks near Lake Memphremagog.
