New Market Walking Tours- March through October 10:30 daily, except Sundays  $10 per adult $7 per child under 14.  "The Bugles, Boys, and Skirts" tour recalls the stories of the women of New Market  before, during and after the Battle of New Market, May 15, 1864.  Hear the tales of Jessie Rupert, Union Sympathizer, Eliza Crim, Confederate Heroine, wily Anna Maria Henkel who outwitted Yankee invaders, and brave Lucinda Rice.

The tours are 90 minutes in length and view eight blocks of historic New Market, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The second tour, "New Market: An All-American Town' explores the colonial portion of the town and relates stories of 18th and 19th century New Market. Call 540-740-3747 for more information
