By bus: well connected from Hyderabad, Guntur, Khammam districts, and major towns.

By train: on the way to Hyderabad -- Guntur.

  • Nagarjuna Sagar, a good place to hang out. This holds the record of largest rock built dam in the world. Nagarjuna konda, a "must see" island inside the reservoir, museum of Buddhist and ancient historical articles.
  • Kolanpaka, an ancient historical jain temple.
  • Pochampally, initially famous for bhudan-udyam, now turned as textile landmark, with a varieties of silk sarees with its name.
  • Miryalaguda, trade center of Nalgonda district, having more than 200 rice mills, and many cement industries around it. the famous janapahad dargah is very nearer to Miryalaguda.
  • Akkampally balancing reservoir, now becoming a tourist attraction, a place from where water to Hyderabad city are supplied.
