Mutare
From Wikitravel
Mutare is the fourth largest city in Zimbabwe.
[edit] Get in
[edit] By air
Zimbabwe has 1 international airport in Harare, and a number of others in Bulawayo, Victoria Falls, etc. Mutare's air strip is not used commercially at present
[edit] By Road
Mutare is right on the eastern border of Zimbabwe, and residents of the city often take a short morning's trip by road to Manica or Chimoio in Mozambique for shopping. Good roads are available from all major and minor cities, and buses and smaller commuter buses are in abundance. The commuter drivers and conducters can be a bit rough - but please just "go with the flow" and allow a little comedic entertainment to the passengers at your expense!
[edit] By Rail
Definitely not advised at present - there is an economy (very uncomfortable!) and sleeper (also very uncomfortable!) class from Bulawayo and Harare, but seriously, just take the bus!
