Moldavia (Romanian: Moldova) is a region in north-eastern Romania, sharing a border with Moldova and Ukraine. It consists of the counties of Iasi, Vaslui and Galati as well as parts of the counties of Botosani, Neamt, Bacau, Vrancea and Suceava.

There are two airports in Moldavia:

  • Bacău International Airport (Aeroportul Internaţional "George Enescu" Bacău, IATA: BCM, ICAO: LRBC) is the 5th busiest airport in Romania (313 376 passengers in 2014). It is served by scheduled flights from Belgium (Brussels), France (Paris), Ireland (Dublin), Italy (Bologna, Catania, Milan, Rome and Turin) and UK (Liverpool and London). The scheduled flights are operated by Blue Air.

The airport close to the city of Bacău and is connected to the city only by taxi.

  • Iaşi International Airport (Aeroportul Internaţional Iaşi, IATA: IAS, ICAO: LRIA) is the 6th busiest airport in Romania (237 047 passengers in 2014). It is served by scheduled flights from Austria (Vienna), France (Paris), Germany (Munich), Israel (Tel Aviv), Italy (Bologna, Milan, Rome, Turin and Venice) and UK (London). The scheduled international flights are operated by Austrian Airlines, Blue Air, Tarom and Wizz Air. The domestic flight is operated by Tarom.
