Mikurajima (御蔵島) is one of the Izu Islands, south of Tokyo.

Tokai Kisen [1] operates ferries to Mikura from Takeshiba Terminal (竹芝客船ターミナル) in Tokyo, adjacent to Takeshiba station on the Yurikamome line. The boat leaves Tokyo each night and arrives at Mikura Island the following morning. The boat continues to Hachijojima, returns to Mikura in the afternoon and arrives back in Tokyo in the early evening.

There is little to see or do on the island except to swim with dolphins. The island has become a major research site for studying dolphins in the wild. There a numerous boats that take visitors out to the ocean and allow snorkelers to get extremely close to the dolphins. Scuba diving is not allowed.
