Coconut Grove is accessible by the Coconut Grove station on the MetroRail, or the 48 bus. The 249 bus goes from the Coconut Grove station to the Douglas Road station, and is the Coconut Grove Circulator. Buses generally feed into those 2 train stations.

Built in 1891, offers a glimpse of Old Florida during The Era of the Bay. Situated on the shore of Biscayne Bay, this was the home of Ralph Middleton Munroe, one of Coconut Grove´s most charming and influential pioneers. Today, it is one of the last remnants of the once vast Miami Hammock. Enjoy sitting in the rocking chairs on the spacious porch used as a gathering place or on a bench under a tree for solitude.
Hours of Operation
The Barnacle is open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with tours at 10, 11:30 a.m.; 1 and 2:30 p.m. Friday through Monday and for groups by reservation Wednesday and Thursday. The park is closed on Tuesdays, New Year´s, Thanksgiving and Christmas days.
Admission to the park is $2.00 per person age 6 and over; under 6 are free.
Blanche Park at 3045 Shipping Avenue is a dog park with Hours of Operation from Sunrise to Sunset.

Barracuda Bar and Grill, 3035 Fuller Street (1 Block from Cocowalk). Noon-3am daily. This throw back to the old Grove is a "come as you are" locals spot. Enjoy their nice beer selection and shoot a game of pool or play some darts. Not expensive and open late it's always a fun time.edit

As a general rule, don't venture out too far west, past SW 32nd Avenue as the area can get desolate. The best way to get from the train station is to take the 249 Coconut Grove Circulator or at least come from Coconut Grove station not Douglas Road station.
