Limburg is one of the five provinces of Flanders (Belgium).

The official language, as in all of Flanders, is Dutch, and most people can speak it. The main language, however is Limburgish. Commonly seen as a Dutch dialect, this regional language has really nothing to do with Dutch and has its own written language. They are however closely related and largely mutually intelligible, though again, most people can speak Dutch if needed. Also widely spoken are English and to a lesser extent German.
