Melfi is a city in Basilicata, Italy.

Melfi is accessible by train, bus, or car. From Rome (or further North), it is possible to take the train to Foggia, followed by a bus or regional train to Melfi (not to be confused to San Nicola di Melfi, which is another town entirely.) Various options include stops and changes in Naples, Salerno, or Potenza. From Rome, the total travel time is between 5 and 6 hours.
