  • Dixie Truckers Home, 400 Dixie Road, +1 309 309-874-2323. If you're passing through McLean as you follow the Route 66 itinerary, this is an absolute must-stop, not because the food and other services are particularly good (they're OK but not sensational), but because this was the archetypal Route 66 truck stop. Modernized a great deal from its roots, but still recognizable.
