  • Famous for its natural pools which are about 6 km off the coast. Tours to the pools last about 2 hours and cost R$50 per person.
  • Camacho beach is a quieter, more secluded beach south of Maragogi beach. It can be reached by foot.

Do[edit][add listing]

Go and visit the natural pools. However, in the high season, for example in January, you may need to book in advance to be able to get a space on a boat. There is a limit on the number of people that can visit these pools per day. The Maragogi pools are a popular day trip from Maceió, so being in Maragogi may not help to get a last-minute ticket. Tour organisers may offer to take you to the Japaratinga pools instead, which are nearby. These are not very special, do not go, unless you really can't wait a day or two for a tour in Maragogi.
