Maijishan National Park (麦积山国家公园) is in Gansu province.

The 194 cave shrines of this "Gallery of Oriental Sculpture' on a perpendicular mountain cliff se of Tianshui, provide shelters for 7200 stone and clay figurines and 1300 sq-m of murals. The clay figures, crafted to the smallest detail and blending lifelike imagery with spiritual resonance, are paragons of ancient Chinese clay sculpture.

Bus from Beidao and Tianshui.

Bus 34. Leaves from the Tianshui railway station around every 10 mins and has a final stop at the entrance. Trip takes just under an hour and costs 5RMB.

If you don't want to walk up 15RMB will get you return ticket on the golf carts.
