- Bodh Gaya — site of the Buddha Sakyamuni's enlightenment
- ( (PIROO) ): A very old village situated in Haspura Block of Aurangabad district. It's old name is Pritikoot. It is the birth place of a very famous ancient literary figure Banbhatt during the Gupta period. He was the state historian of the king Harshvardhna. Some says that this village was also the birth place of Rishi Chavanya.
