You only can get in and out of town by your own means of transport. There is no public transport available. You can't do a thing here without a car! It is located between London, Ontario and Exeter, Ontario on Highway 4, approximately 28 kilometers north of London, Ontario.
Lucan is a typical Southern Ontario farmer's town. It's location on Highway 4 makes it a typical pass-through town.
Lucan Area Heritage & Donnelly Museum, 192 Frank Street, +1 519 227-1812. The little Heritage Museum has some items around the infamous Black Donnelleys.
In the summer there is a nice splash pad available in the Optimist Park on Elm Street. This facility exists since 2010 and is very popular with the local people. The splash pad is formed similar to an Irish shamrock.
The Santa Parade on the first Saturday in December is well worth a visit for children under 10 years old. The parade is well known in the area and the longest in its kind in the wide area. (it takes about 1.5 to 2 hours for the parade to pass) Dress warmly!
