- By tube: Clapham has three London Underground stations: Clapham North, Clapham Common and Clapham South. All three are on the Northern Line. Stockwell underground station is one stop North of Clapham North and also services the Victoria line.
- By bus: A number of London bus routes also operate through Clapham.
- By train: In addition, Clapham also has a National Rail station, Clapham High Street (near Clapham North underground station), which runs services to London Bridge and London Victoria.

Clapham Common is a large park regularly used for picnics and sporting activities. On a sunny day it fills up with South London locals having a drink.

Clapham High Street has a good selection of restaurants.

Clapham is one of the biggest night spots in London outside of Central London. Clapham High Street has many bars and some night clubs. Bars continue further down south along Clapham Common. Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights are the busiest.
