[edit] Understand
Llanfynydd's one real claim to fame is its rather lengthy new name, Llanhyfryddawelllehynafolybarcudprindanfygythiadtrienusyrhafnauole, which in Welsh means a quiet, beautiful village; a historic place with rare kite under threat from wretched blades—a reference to the village's protest at plans to build a wind farm nearby that would threaten local bird species of kite. Clearly, the new name is also an attempt to give Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyllllantysiliogogogoch a run for its money.
