Litvinov (Czech: Litvínov) is a small city in Northwest Bohemia, right at the foothills of Krusne hory (English: Ore mountains) and less than 20km far away from the border with Saxony, Germany

The city can be reached by by multiple roads. Road number 27 leads to Most and than towards the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague.

Litvinov can be reached by train as well but be advised that there are two train stations within city limits. The first one is Litvinov, which is closer to the center and can be reached by city mass transportaion system and the second one, Litvinov mesto, which is on the outskirts of the city (still in walkable distance from the center).

There are daily bus services to smaller cities in the same region as well as connecting the city with Prague (regular one-way fare is around 104 CZK).

Unfortunately, the city became recently known for its suburb called Janov. It is not advised to go to this are in the evening since there is relative chance to be robbed.
