Leon is a province in Castile-Leon, Spain.
Leon is the northwestern province in the region of Castile-Leon, and has over the years been the capital of a region in its own right. The landscape is varied, and includes some dramatic scenery in the west by Ponferrada and in the northern mountains bordering Asturias.

- Las Medulas - Spectacular scenery left from roman gold mining, see Ponferrada
- Valencia de Don Juan - This town has a fine romantic castle that has half slipped into the River Esla that it used to guard.
- La Bañeza - A small bustling town at the edge of the hills. Traffic here can be a problem.

The main roads are pretty good, but busy. The minor roads vary according to the population served. Especially in the more mountainous areas short distances on a map can take a long time.
