Piasek is a part of Krakow in Poland. It is in the district Centrum north west of the Old Town.

In the Middle Ages, the houses of the Piasek (Piasek meaning "sand") were made of wood and poorer craftsmen lived there. The Royal Mills Creek (Mlynowka Krolewska) was flowing until the 19th century. As the name suggests, several mills have been there throughout the Middle Ages. There are a lot of fine 19th century houses (especially along the Karmelicka Street with a lot of shops), three baroque churches, a monastery, the Voivod´s Library, the Agricultural University and three theatres (ul. Krupnicza, ul. Karmelicka and ul. Czysta) — the Bagatela is the most famous one — in this part of town.

• Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary and the monastery of Calced Carmelites were founded by Ladislaus Jagiello in 1397 in Gothic style. It was damaged during the Swedish deluge in 1655 and rebuilt in 1657. The finest pieces of furnishing were executed in Jerzy Hankisz's workshop in 1698, which are among the best examples of 17th century wooden sculpture in Krakow. A spacious chapel housing the miraculous image of Our Lady is attached to the church.
• St. Franicis Salezy Church was built in 1692 by Jan Solary in baroque style.
• Church of the Lord's Resurrection was built in the 19th century and has a beautiful altar.
