Kočani is a city in Eastern Macedonia.

From the west side you can use 65 km. route M-5 from Macedonian-Bulgarian border near Delcevo. The same route continues (71 km.) to Veles, connecting to the international route E-75.

Bus transport connects the city the capital Skopje and few other cities in the country.

Kocani is the last station of the railroad from Veles to the east.

- The Monument of Freedom - was constructed in 1981, as a memorial located on a hill above the city. Its most significant architectural-mosaic content, one of the largest at this region, dominates from the very top. This monument was designed by Gligor Cemerski.
- Crkvishte - is located in the village of Morodvis, which is at the bottom of Plackovica Mountain, 7 km south of Kocani. The ruins of four early Roman basilicas have been found on this site, as well as about 80 necropoli (tombs). Archaeological excavations have also discovered a beautiful church dating from the 5th century.
