Take a flight to Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hannover or Berlin. Then take a high-speed train to Wolfsburg. From there, you may take a cab to Knesebeck. Alternatively, take the regional train to Knesebeck (via Braunschweig, Gifhorn), which might be a little bit slower. All railway connections can be found at [2].

Attractions in the region are the Lüneburger Heide , the famous Otterzentrum [22] in Hankensbüttel , the Phaeno and Autostadt in Wolfsburg, the historic old towns of Celle and Lüneburg as well as the Museumsdorf Hösseringen [23].

Don't ever mention Wittingen, the "city" which incorporated the territories of the former "Samtgemeinde Knesebeck" in 1974. The only reason for Wittingen's existence, you may say, is its purpose of serving as the region's most important beer supplier.
