Kargopol

Kargopol is a historically important town in Arkhangelsk Oblast. It is a convenient base for exploring Kenozersky National Park and is a destination in its own right for its traditional wooden architecture.

The traditional craftwork known as Kargopol toys (Каргопольская игрушка) are small figurines of people, Centauri Polkan[1] and Paradise birds Sirin[2].
