Kampong Speu is the main town of Kampong Speu province in Cambodia. The province is situated between Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville. It's flatter regions are quite nondescript but, the area towards the Cardamom Mountains is well worth a visit.

• Chambok Chambok waterfall is a community run eco-tourism site, roughly 20 km from the main Sihanoukville - Phnom Penh highway. The protected forest contains a 20m high waterfall which can be reached by a 3km walk. An entrance fee is required. More info at Chambok ecotourism site [1].

• Kirirom National Park, (It is accessed from a road (highway 46) from Traeng Trayung on highway no. 4 (Phnom Penh - Sihanoukville)). This national park set up in the mountains (elevation 600-700m)and is easily accessible. On the top of the mountain some hikes can be undertaken, some views to be had and there are some waterfalls to be seen. Unfortunately these waterfalls are unappealing due to the need to exploit these commercially with little or no regard as to cleanliness.  edit
