Johnson County is the most populous of Kansas' counties. Located just south of Kansas city, it is overwhelmingly suburban in nature. Johnson County is the wealthiest county in Kansas, and one of the wealthiest in the nation by per capita income. The population consists primarily of well-educated, white-collar individuals who work in Kansas City.
